草履大将は藁草履の頭部を持つユニークな妖怪で、古い資料にもほとんど情報が残っていない謎の存在です。 本作では、一本杖のような尾を持つ面白い造形の馬と組み合わせ、つぶらな瞳の草履大将がちりめん布を敷いた馬にまたがる、愛らしい二体セットとして表現しています。 藁にあたる部分はコットンコードを丁寧に編み込み、手足や馬の身体はニードルフェルトで柔らかい質感を出しています。 馬の尾（杖状の部分）はポリモーフで造形し、特徴的なシルエットを強調しています。
