Description
Nurarihyon is often regarded as the leader of the yokai, though he is known for causing no real harm. Instead, he quietly slips into people’s homes, sits in the seat of the head of the household, drinks tea as if he belongs there, and leaves without being noticed. He is depicted with an unusually large, gourd‑shaped head, giving him a strange and memorable appearance.
