This charming character hardly looks like a yokai at all.
One theory says it is a stone shaped like a tiger, while another claims it was a mysterious stone cherished by Tora‑gozen, a courtesan from the Soga Monogatari.
The piece expresses its gentle, adorable presence while preserving the folklore behind its name.

妖怪には見えないほどかわいらしいこのキャラクターは、虎の姿をした石だという説のほか、曽我物語に登場する遊女・虎御前が大切にしていた不思議な力をもつ石の名前だともいわれています。
その柔らかく愛らしい雰囲気を残しつつ、伝承のイメージを表現しています。
