Description
Sarahebi is a frightening yokai with the head of a woman and the body of a snake. In some yokai paintings she is known as Nure‑onna, depicted with long wet hair, but in the Bakemono‑zukushi Emaki used as reference for this piece, her hair is smooth and dry. This figure includes an internal armature, though the poseability is slightly stiff due to the structure.

さら蛇は、女性の頭部と蛇の身体を持つ恐ろしい妖怪です。 妖怪画によっては「濡れ女」と呼ばれ、濡れた長髪で描かれることもありますが、 参考にした『化物尽絵巻』では髪はさらさらと乾いた状態で表現されています。 内部にアーマーチャーが入っていますが、可動はやや硬めです。
