Description
Oboroguruma is a yokai oxcart carrying strange passengers, often depicted with eerie figures peeking from within the carriage. This piece faithfully recreates the version seen in classical yokai illustrations: a mysterious green creature pulling the cart, an elderly yokai with an oversized head emerging from the main opening, and a woman quietly watching from a small window. The oxcart is crafted with detailed woodwork, and the luxurious hanging misu curtains—made from bamboo sticks, cotton cord, and fabric—add a striking traditional touch to the scene.

朧車（おぼろぐるま）は、妖怪たちを乗せた牛車の妖怪として知られています。 本作では、古い妖怪画に描かれた姿を忠実に再現し、 牛ではなく不思議な緑の生き物が牛車を引き、荷台からは異様に大きな頭だけの老人の妖怪が現れ、 さらに小窓から女性がそっと覗いている様子を丁寧に表現しています。 豪華な御簾は、バンブースティック・コットンコード・布で作られており、作品の大きなポイントです。 緑の生き物と女性にはアーマーチャーが入っていますが、可動は制限されています。
