In folklore, the ragged futon springs to life at night, revealing torn fabric, dangling limbs, and a circus‑performer‑like face peeking from within the quilt. This interpretation emphasizes its playful yet eerie charm, with the quilt stitched in a patchwork style to evoke the feeling of a well‑used, beloved household item turned mischievous spirit.
