Description
In Kyosai’s nishiki‑e Ryuguuokassen, a grand battle unfolds between sea creatures and river creatures. Most of the river creatures are depicted as yokai, including many kappa. This piece recreates the humorous anthropomorphic fish warriors from the sea team— not strictly yokai, but lively characters with arms, legs, and expressive faces.

河鍋暁斎によって描かれた錦絵『龍宮魚合戦』には、海の生き物と川の生き物の戦いが描かれています。 川の生き物はほぼ妖怪で、たくさんの河童も描かれています。 この作品は海チームの手足がついた擬人化されたおもしろい魚たち（妖怪ではないかもしれませんが）を再現しました。
