Description
The Hitotsume‑Nyudo depicted in Kyosai’s Hundred Demons appears as a large, hairy, one‑eyed monk. Various legends describe him differently: some say that those who encounter him fall ill, while others claim he helps people, or that he is actually a tanuki or fox in disguise. This piece was created in the early stage of my yokai project, before I began incorporating latex or silicone materials, and the entire body is made from fabric. Each strand of hair is stitched in individually using thick embroidery thread.

説明
『暁斎百鬼画談』に描かれた一つ目入道は、一つ目に毛むくじゃらの怪しげな大坊の姿をしています。 伝承は様々で、大入道を目にしたものは病気になるなどの他、人助けをする、タヌキやキツネが化けたとされる説があります。 この作品は妖怪プロジェクトの初期の作品で、当時はまだラテックスやシリコン素材を取り入れておらず、 全身ファブリックで作っています。 毛も一本一本太め刺繍糸を縫い込んでいます。
