Description
Ktsutsura is a paired yokai: one is a porcupine‑like creature wearing an asagutsu (a traditional Japanese shoe) on its head, and the other is a one‑eyed yokai shaped like an eboshi, the formal headwear worn by adult men in ancient ceremonial dress. Together, they form the tsukumogami of shoes and hats. The dynamic composition of the one‑eyed yokai riding the porcupine‑like creature is one of my favorites and a piece I am very proud of.

浅沓（あさぐつ：日本の和靴の一種）を頭に載せたヤマアラシのような妖怪の背に、 烏帽子（昔の礼装を着た際、成人男子がかぶった帽子）という冠を模した一つ目の妖怪とセットになった妖怪で、 ともに靴と帽子の付喪神です。 ヤマアラシのような妖怪を乗りこなす一つ目の不思議な妖怪の造形は、私のお気に入りで自信作でもあります。
